Hello Hillary, Just stumbled across your blog by accident and your stunning images caught my attention. The mushrooms, water droplets and Ice pictures are magical, you have a good eye for light. I think that taking photographs one should search for the perfect light then hunt for something to match it with, most amateur photographers concentrate on the subject rather than light.
